Are you now in court?

Court and Couple.jpg

When the lawyers are having more conversations with each other than you are having with your estranged spouse or partner, it is all too easy for your disagreements to get larger, and the prospects for successful cooperation to fade rapidly.

When couples cannot find a way to amicably resolve differences, when disputes take precedence over reasonable agreements, and when the court takes charge of finding a resolution, you may find yourself directed toward my services. This is especially true when children are involved, and when their needs sadly get subordinated to the battle that rages between you and your estranged spouse/partner.

The services I offer to embattled couples may well involve a court order. In these situations, we are no longer engaged in traditional couples therapies. Instead, our focus is on a combination of education, active guidance, and establishment of mutual accountabilities that leads you both toward agreements that bring the battles to a close.

If you are in the court system, are a “high conflict” couple, are struggling to resolve your disputes, especially those involving children, or have been court-mandated to a conflict resolution process, you’ve come to the right place. The sooner you start this conflict resolution process, the sooner you can start the next chapter of your life.
